All,

I can’t agree more with James and Keith’s comments here.

Both James and I were at Namescon 2015 last week in Vegas – it’s our job / income.

so I’ m personally struggling to keep up.

Please please all remain on topic- accountability and transparency – treat everybody with respect even if your views are fundamentally different.

As a note (of warning) to All:

Akram Atullah, ICANN ‘s Head of the Generic Domain Division responsible for new gTLDs (personal friend of ICANN’s CEO)  – was a keynote speaker – publicly stated that ICANN would not contribute to a global marketing effort to boost user awareness- the programme is seriously off budget/target registrations. However the whole programme was agreed to as “not for profit”. I say again – ICANN 2013 financial audited, signed statements show a $ 80m “profit” . Something is wrong here ………….

Regards,

Phil
