Bart, There was no formal call for candidates. I recall on internal emails between us five, Mathieu volunteering, being seconded at least by Mr Meijer and at least two of us (me included) mentioning that we are not interested. I could not be bothered to dig this up as it is a done deal. I would agree that Mathieu is/was the only candidate, and it's Council's prerogative anyway who to appoint, and what process to use, but your below email tries to create the impression the process was transparent.
