In order to overcome any doubts with respect to the status of a member or participant and the respective rights (and obligations?) I’d like to encourage the chairs to shed some more light on this at the 1st meeting. Eg within the CWG (on IANA Stewardship Transition) members take part in consensus calls whereas participants are excluded from. All: Just to clarify one point in Wolf-Ulrich's note: All participants (i.e., Members and Participants) in CWG-Stewardship participate in the meetings and work of the CWG on an equal footing, except with regard to consensus calls (of which we have had none, so far). Some of the strongest contributors to the work of the CWG (including some of the subgroup coordinators) have been Participants. To be transparent, the only other divergence was that Members got ICANN travel support to go to our F2F meeting in Frankfurt, while Participants did not. I hope the gap between these two isn't too wide but it is real, and so we need to think quite openly and candidly about this. * the small matter of the "inclusive window" for times for our meetings, with the suggestion of 1100-1400UTC for start times. As someone who lives in a summer time zone that is UTC+13, I can confirm these are not fully inclusive. Meetings that start at 12am or 3am aren't fair on AsiaPac participants.
