CCWG-ACCT Extension for Hyderabad Travel Support Applications
Dear CCWG-Acct. Community, I wanted to reach out to apologize for the initial short turn around for submitting your CCWG-ACCT travel support application to attend the November 2nd face-to-face meeting in Hyderabad. I appreciate everyone¹s patience as we work with Constituency Travel on the process needed to ensure that travel arrangements for CCWG members can be handled in a timely manner. As a result, we have been able to obtain additional time for CCWG members who have not yet had the opportunity to submit an application to do so. Please plan to have your application for CCWG-ACCT travel support submitted to acct-staff@icann.org by August 12th. I would also like to thank everyone who has already submitted an application for funding; the applications that have been received are being posted on the WS2 wiki under travel support at https://community.icann.org/display/WEIA/Travel+Support If you have any questions or require additional time to consider your plans, please do not hesitate to contact CCWG-ACCT Staff Support at acct-staff@icann.org so we can assist you and keep Constituency Travel informed. My understanding was that this was JUST for those who had no funding for travel to Hyderabad. For Members who are already funded through some other means, the one day extension is automatic. Alan, That is not quite what the policy that was published says. The CCWG-Accountability has a fixed budget for member travel period. As such all travel funding must use the process even if only for 1 night of hotel. The policy also says that the co-chairs can break up the amounts as they see fit and should work to maximize member participation. As such I would expect that member requests for 1 or 2 extra days of hotel would be considered very seriously to maximize participation. I would also like to remind participants that the funding is for Members only and that the list of Members can be found at https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=59640780 . All Members, As per my reply to Alan Greenberg below the Co-Chairs have asked me to remind Members that if they do require an extra night's hotel and per diem to attend the CCWG-Accountability Face to Face meeting being held prior to ICANN 57 that they have to apply for it using the standard process.
