If people had a problem with the "subject line" created by someone else "inadvertantly" posted to ccwg, you should have spoken up immediately. No one did, therefore everyone who is feigning objection after the fact lost this argument. I won't apologize for other people's selective revisionism and phony astonishment simply to get rid of an "old foe", disliking me for being a person with an interest in Internet Governance and not over-relying on a neat looking business card. I am with Bruce on this one. I find the postings of the troll irrelevant, but not offensive. If he wants to introduce whistleblowing as a topic, let him introduce whistleblowing as a topic. And if you consider it relevant, engage on the issue. If you consider it irrelevant (and amusing, as I do) just don't feed him. In any way. I.e. not even by responding that one doesn't respond, or posting some amateur psychiatry. Hence I would have not proposed to remove his posting access, just given him another private warning to stay on topic and use relevant subject lines. Group members are reacting to the subject of your post rather than the content.
The subject was: Subject: Re: [CCWG-ACCT] Paris Terrorist Attack
I think you inadvertently replied to a posting to the CCWG list on the Paris Terrorist Attack. It would have been better to create a fresh subject heading e.g. “Improvements to the Whistle blower process.”
I recommend you simply apologize for using the wrong subject heading.
