I'm a lawyer by training, with some experience in international commercial arbitration. In addition to my law degree, I hold a diploma from the University of Cologne on international arbitration. In law school, I also represented my University in the 15th Willem C. Vis Moot on International Arbitration in Vienna. I do not have experience specific to California law but my training and background would hold me in good stead to evaluate IRP decisions and their functioning from a legal sense. Moreover, the Asia Pacific region is currently not well-represented in the oversight team, despite it having the fastest growing constituency of Internet users in the world.
