Dear All,

The Internet Governance Forum  Mauritius (http://igf-mu.org/) is a Non Governmental Organisation duly registered at the Registry of Associations in the Republic of Mauritius with Regd number 15174.  IGF Mauritius has applied to be accredited as an ALS of the AFRALO.

The objects of the association are clearly spelled out in its by-laws at http://igf-mu.org/by-laws/ which are as follows:
1. The objects of the Association shall be
1.1 to promote the history and development of the Internet.
1.2 to advocate the multistakeholder model of Internet Governance
1.3 to promote the rapid propagation of internet technologies in every sphere of the Mauritian Community.
1.4 to provide services to members in terms of training and support in connection to Internet Governance.
1.5 to advocate the use of the Internet Technologies.
1.6 to show the importance of Internet Governance in the life of the Public in Mauritius and elsewhere;
1.7 to do all such things that are conducive to the attainment of the above objects

IGF Mauritius has been contributing in the IGF Best Practice Forum on Cybersecurity - https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/bpf-on-cybersecurity-contributions

For the 12th annual meeting of Internet Governance Forum (IGF) which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 18 to 21 Dec. 2017, on the theme, Shape Your Digital Future. IGF Mauritius will be hosting a remote hub at 1^st Floor, NG Tower, Wall Street, Ebene Cybercity. https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/igf-2017-remote-hubs

Registration for locals in Mauritius is by sending an email at participate@igf-mu.org.

This email is being sent to the AFRALO members following a teleconference call of the AFRALO on 6^th December 2017 for them to take a wise decision.

L'Internet Governance Forum Mauritius (http://igf-mu.org/) est une Organisation Non Gouvernementale dûment enregistrée au Registre des Associations de la République de Maurice avec le numéro d'enregistrement 15174. IGF Mauritius a fait une demande d’accréditation comme ALS de l'AFRALO.

1.7 de faire toutes les choses qui sont propices à la réalisation des objets ci-dessus
