Hello Remmy,
There is the option to remove board members at board level (which currently exist)[1]. What is being proposed by the CCWG is the ability to remove board members by the community. Usually in most organisation, removal of board members by the organisation members does not require the board's approval and that is what the CCWG proposes. However we (AFRALO) are saying that the process to spill the entire both should be more difficult by requiring it to be initiated by more than 1 community within ICANN.
