Dear Herve,

I would like to propose a topic for the ICANN83 Policy Forum AFRALO-AfrICANN joint statement:

"Enhancing DNS Abuse Mitigation Capacity in Africa"

DNS abuse is a growing problem on the Internet. It includes things like phishing, malware, and spam. Many African domain registries and Internet providers do not have strong tools or systems to stop this abuse. This can affect trust and safety online. This topic is important for Africa’s Internet safety and connects to ICANN’s work on DNS security.

I believe it is important for AFRALO to ask ICANN to support Africa with training, tools, and resources to fight DNS abuse. This will help make the Internet safer for everyone in our region.

Thank you for the opportunity to suggest this topic.

Best regards,
