Dear All, The AFRALO Chair asked us to forward the ALS application and the due diligence statement from the ALS applicant organisation “Forum des Cadres Scientifiques pour le Développement” (FORCAS) to this mailing list. The discussion on this application during the recent monthly AFRALO teleconference did not lead to the formulation of regional advice. Instead, the group decided to continue the discussion on the mailing lists. Please note that the attached application form contains an error. Due to a misunderstanding, the applicant originally noted that the organisation was not self-supporting and relied on ICANN funding for its operations. Following a conversation on this issue, the applicant informed us that their answer to question 3 should be changed from “No” to “Yes” (see question attached below). We have asked the applicant to send us a corrected application form.
