Dear members of the AFRALO community,
I hope everyone is doing well and safe.
This is my message to accept my nomination for the ALAC member position.
I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to Olivié KOUAMI and each one of you. I reassure you that you will not be disappointed. I am able and am fully committed to continue the excellent work that my sister Sarah KIDEN was doing with other ALAC members from Africa.
For those wondering why I am accepting this nomination at this time,
It is because since 2016, when I discovered the AFRALO community, I have learned a lot and gained valuable skills. Now is the opportune moment for me to give back to this wonderful community that has given so much to me. I will be dedicating myself further to its service.
Allow me to introduce myself :
My name is Raihanath GBADAMASSI, a lawyer specializing in Digital Law and Business Law. As an active African lady deeply passionate about the Internet, I currently serve as the Vice-President of the Internet Society Chapter of Benin. Furthermore, I am the Managing Director of NESS GATE, a company I founded in 2019, providing digital financial services to contribute to the development of the e-money sector.
My journey with AFRALO began during the ICANN 59 meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I had the privilege to participate in AFRALO GENERAL ASSEMBLY and I have becoming fully integrated into the community. I have since become an active member of AFRALO, contributing to various working groups. I am part of the editorial team of the AFRALO Newsletter and have contributed to the production of AFRICANN statements. I am also a member of the Universal Acceptance Communications Working Group.
Since 2012, I have been involved in the Internet ecosystem as a trainer for digital skills standards through the Ifadem program of the digital campus of the OIF. I am an ICANN Fellow Alumni, having completed several ICANN courses and programs. I consistently participate in training and capacity-building webinars and actively participate in AFRALO's monthly calls. I am a trainer and certified communicator on Internet Governance issues.
I have attended in-person and virtual ICANN meetings, including preparatory sessions. I have actively participated in Internet Governance Forums. Beyond these engagements, I serve as a member and resource person for the Benin DNS Forum organizing committee. I work particularly on executing the Woman DNS Academy program and organizing "Internet City" activities. I have served in the organizing committee of the AFRICA DNS FORUM in 2018 and the celebration of 20 years of Internet Governance in Africa.
In 2020, I led the Internet.bj project, supported by ICANN. This project aimed to reconstruct the history of the Internet in Benin through the writing and publication of the book "HISTOIRE DE L'INTERNET AU BENIN DE 1992 À 2020" for the benefit of the Beninese and African community.
Volunteering has been an integral part of my life for 13 years through JCI, a global organization of young leaders creating positive change in their communities in over 200 countries. I have served as a local president in Benin, leading over 500 volunteers. Several other positions of responsibility describe my journey with commitment within this organization.
My unwavering goal is to continue working daily to promote and contribute to the development of the Internet within my community and wherever duty calls.
Now, duty calls me as an ALAC member, and I am ready to serve even more effectively.
I seek the support and guidance of all members of our AFRALO community through your votes. Let us continue this journey together.

Tout en espérant que mon message vous retrouve en pleine forme et en toute sécurité avec vos familles respectives, je viens à travers le présent message, donner mon accord à la nomination faite à ma modeste personne au poste de représentante AFRALO au sein de ALAC.
Je voudrais particulièrement remercier Olivié KOUAMI pour cette nomination et tout un chacun de vous pour le soutien. Soyez rassurés de ce que vous ne serez pas déçu car je suis apte et engagée à continuer le beau travail que faisait ma sœur Sarah KIDEN avec les autres membres africains de ALAC.
Pour ceux qui se posent la question de savoir “Pourquoi maintenant et Pourquoi moi?”
Maintenant, parce que depuis 2016 que j’ai découvert cette communauté AFRALO, j’ai beaucoup appris et capitalisé des compétences. Et le moment est venu de rendre à cette belle communauté, autant que j’ai reçu d’elle en me mettant davantage à son service.
Moi parce que :
Raihanath GBADAMASSI, je suis juriste spécialiste du Droit du Numérique et du Droit des Affaires. Jeune femme Africaine active et passionnée de l'Internet, je suis actuellement la Vice-Présidente de Internet Society Chapitre du Bénin.
Je suis également la Directrice Générale de l’entreprise NESS GATE, que j’ai fondée en 2019 pour offrir les services de la Finance Digitale afin de contribuer au développement du secteur de la monnaie électronique.
Ma première participation à la réunion ICANN 59 à Johannesburg en Afrique du Sud fut une inédite opportunité pour moi de participer à l’Assemblée Générale de AFRALO et m’a permis de m’intégrer au sein de la communauté.
Je suis un membre très dynamique de AFRALO de par mes contributions au profit des différents groupes de travail auxquels j'appartiens tel que l’équipe de rédaction du AFRALO Newsletter, de production des déclarations AFRICANN. Également membre du Groupe de travail de Communication de Universal Acceptance.
Depuis 2012, je suis engagée dans l’écosystème de l’Internet en tant que formatrice sur les normes de compétences numériques à travers le programme Ifadem du campus numérique de l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.
Formatrice et Communicatrice certifiée sur les questions de la Gouvernance d’Internet, je suis ICANN Fellow Alumni, et certifiée sur plusieurs cours et programmes de ICANN. Je ne rate aucune occasion de webinaires de formation et de renforcement de capacités mais surtout je réponds présent aux appels mensuels de AFRALO.
Je suis une participante active des réunions ICANN en présentielle ou en virtuel en passant par les sessions préparatoires, mais également participante aux Forums de la Gouvernance de l’Internet. En dehors de ces participations, je suis membre et une personne ressource du comité d'organisation du Bénin DNS Forum. Je travaille particulièrement sur l'exécution du programme Woman DNS Academy et à la réalisation de l’activité Internet City.
J’ai été membre du comité d’organisation du AFRICA DNS FORUM en 2018 et de la célébration des 20 ans de la Gouvernance d’Internet en Afrique.
En 2020, j'ai dirigé le projet Internet.bj soutenu par l’ICANN. Ce projet a permis de reconstituer l’histoire de l’Internet au Bénin à travers la rédaction et la publication du livre HISTOIRE DE L'INTERNET AU BENIN DE 1992 À 2020 au profit de toute la communauté Béninoise et Africaine.
Enfin, il faut noter que le bénévolat fait partie intégrante de mon quotidien car j’en fais la pratique depuis 13 ans au sein de la JCI, une organisation mondiale de jeunes leaders qui créent des changements positifs au sein de leurs diverses communautés dans plus de 200 pays. J’ai été présidente locale au Bénin et dirigé plus de 500 bénévoles JCI. Plusieurs autres postes de responsabilités décrivent mon parcours avec engagement au sein de cette organisation.
Ma motivation principale est de pouvoir continuer à travailler au quotidien pour promouvoir et contribuer au développement de l’Internet au sein de ma communauté et partout où le devoir m’appelle.
Et maintenant le devoir m’appelle en tant que Membre ALAC, et je suis prête à encore mieux servir.
C’est pour cela que je sollicite le soutien et l'accompagnement de tous les membres de notre communauté AFRALO à travers vos votes.
