Thank you Dave for the Great Topic but I'm afraid that the ICANN did not apprehend the use of new technologies as AI , Blockchain (As you probably Know) . The last ALAC plenary session during the ICANN78 can give more details ,

I would like to suggest another Topic : A call To improve the ICANN electronic vote system to be more transparent and accountable.

Since AI has significant implications in the domain industry by streamlining processes, enhancing security, and improving user experiences, I would like to propose the following topic for discussion:

The use of AI and AI powered tools to enhance the domain names eco system in Africa.

We can urge ICANN to promote and adopt AI in the Domain Names Space. For example, AI adopted, automated systems can efficiently manage domain registrations, monitor for fraudulent activities, and optimize resource allocation. AI-powered tools also play a crucial role in cybersecurity, helping detect and mitigate threats, ensuring the integrity of domain infrastructure. Additionally, AI contributes to personalized user experiences through predictive analytics, making domain management more user-friendly and efficient.

These wide ranges of topics mentioned above are given as examples of topics we have treated in the past. You are invited to suggest other topics for discussion at ICANN78.

· 18 January 2024: Announcement of Selected topic & drafting team composition

· 19 - 29 January 2024: First Draft of Statement

· 30 January - 9 February 2024: Second Draft of Statement

· 10 February 2024: sending to Staff + FR Statement translation

Kindly send your suggested topics and volunteer for drafting by Wednesday ,17 th of January 2024, after which the drafting team will be constituted to prepare a draft statement that will be shared with the rest of the members.

Veuillez envoyer vos suggestions de sujets et vous porter volontaire pour rejoindre l'équipe de la rédaction d'ici le Mercredi 17 Janvier 2024, après quoi l'équipe de rédaction sera constituée pour préparer un projet de déclaration qui sera partagé avec le reste des membres.
