Dear Colleagues,

We are happy to announce the opening of the Call for Presentations for the Africa Internet Summit 2025 (AIS’25) that will take place from 29th September - 3rd October 2025 in a Hybrid format in Accra, Ghana. We invite you to submit your technical presentation abstracts, offering a fantastic opportunity for members of the African Internet Community to share their expertise and insights. The Technical Presentations sessions at AIS’25 will provide a forum for both experienced and new delegates to engage in topics related to Internet growth and development in Africa. To enrich these discussions and share knowledge with the technical community, we are seeking presentations on a wide range of topics broadly related to the growth, access, and development of the Internet in Africa.

We are specifically interested in presentations focusing on the following areas:

  • IPv6 Deployment.
  • IPv4 / IPv6 Routing and Operations.
  • Internet Governance.
  • Internet Measurements.
  • Routing Security, including RPKI and IRR.
  • DNS / DNSSEC.
  • Community networks.
  • Business Practices and Higher Education in the Age of Technology.
  • Network data security and management attacks mitigation.
  • Internet backbone operations.
  • Routing and switching protocols, including unicast, multicast, anycast, SDN.
  • Content & Service Delivery and Cloud Computing.
  • Network Automation/Programming.
  • Peering, Interconnects and IXPs.
  • Content Distribution Network technology & operations.
  • Research on Internet Operations and Deployment.
  • Network Virtualisation.

Your contribution can be in the form of a presentation during a session, a tutorial, or a live technical demonstration. Kindly take note of the information below before submitting your proposal.

Important dates

  • Opening Call for Presentations - 23rd July 2025
  • Deadline for submitting Presentation Abstracts – 18th August 2025 
  • Deadline for submission of draft presentations – 30th August 2025
  • Submission of final presentation – 10th September 2025

Please note that due to the limited time allocated to technical presentations in the agenda, only shortlisted abstracts will be slotted in the agenda. All selected presenters will be notified of the status of their presentation abstract making it to the AIS’25 Agenda.

AIS’25 Speaker Guidelines

  • Presentations are expected to last for 25 minutes, tutorials, and panel discussions can run up to 90 minutes.
  • The presenter should articulate their presentation slowly allowing room for interpretation.
  • The Presenter will be required to use the AIS’25 Presentation Template. Available for download at: 
  • The presenter(s) will be required to upload their final presentation in PDF format, no later than five (5) days before the presentation date.
  • Presenters are responsible for producing any handouts if required. For this event, we are expecting between 200 to 500 on-site delegates.
  • Presentations with marketing and/or commercial content will not be considered.
