Thank you for the nomination for the AFRALO Secretariat role. I am pleased to accept and appreciate the confidence in my ability to serve.
I look forward to working with the chair, ALAC representatives, AAG, ALSes, individual members, ICANN staff, and all stakeholders through effective coordination, clear communication, and consistent follow-through while contributing to sustained engagement and impact across our community and ICANN.
Dear All,I hope this message finds you well.Following my earlier nomination and in respect of her thoughtful and modest response, I am pleased to nominate Tinuade Oguntuyi for a Secretariat role within AFRALO.Tinuade’s decision to step back from the ALAC nomination reflects both her humility and her clarity of purpose—qualities that speak volumes about her leadership and commitment to service. Rather than stepping away, she has expressed a strong willingness to continue contributing in a capacity where she can create sustained impact, particularly in coordination, knowledge sharing, and community engagement. From consistent participation in ICANN meetings to actively sharing valuable resources—links, insights, and relevant materials, Tinuade has demonstrated a natural alignment with the responsibilities of a Secretariat role. She is often that steady presence ensuring others are informed, included, and empowered. Her background in connectivity infrastructure, DNS ecosystems, Universal Acceptance (UA), DNSSEC, and Internet security, combined with her growing interest in areas such as AI in DNS, new gTLDs, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), positions her uniquely to support AFRALO’s operational effectiveness while strengthening knowledge flow within the community.I am confident that in a Secretariat capacity, Tinuade will further enhance collaboration, improve information dissemination, and support the continuity of AFRALO’s work with diligence and excellence.I strongly support this nomination.

I truly appreciate the confidence and support.Being part of the AFRALO and broader ICANN community continues to be a meaningful journey for me, particularly through contributions around connectivity, DNS ecosystems, Universal Acceptance, Internet security, and capacity building. I am also increasingly engaged in emerging areas such as the intersection of AI and DNS, the evolving landscape of new gTLDs, and the importance of preparing for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in strengthening the resilience of the Internet’s infrastructure. I remain committed to supporting our shared goals and amplifying Africa’s voice across these critical areas. After careful consideration, I would like to respectfully step back from this particular nomination at this time. I remain, however, very keen to continue contributing to the community, especially in roles that support coordination, knowledge sharing, and sustained engagement, such as Secretariat functions, where I believe I can add meaningful value.I look forward to continuing to collaborate with everyone in advancing AFRALO’s priorities.Once again , Thank you for your trust in my capabilities and works.Tinuade OguntuyiGM Technical, ICSLICANN84 & 86 FellowfNSIG , Co- Chair Infrastructure, Access & Connectivity WG (ISOC NG)On Sun, 19 Apr 2026, 15:04 Olabimpe Adeloro via AFRI-Discuss, <afri-discuss@icann.org> wrote:Dear All,I am pleased to nominate Tinuade Oguntuyi as AFRALO’s representative to ALAC.Tinuade brings extensive professional experience in connectivity infrastructure, DNS ecosystems, Universal Acceptance (UA), DNSSEC, and secure Internet practices, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale network and access solutions across Africa.
