La transition de la supervision des fonctions de l’IANA du gouvernement des Etats Unis d’Amérique (EUA) à la communauté est désormais chose faite après le rejet de la court d’une demande urgente de bloquer la transition présentée par les avocats généraux de 4 états républicains aux EUA.

ICANN est entrée dans une nouvelle ère, avec de nouveaux statuts et de nouvelles règles de gouvernance. Ces changements ne doivent en aucun cas affecter le bon fonctionnement de l’Internet, sa stabilité et sa sécurité.

The transition of the IANA functions stewardship from the US Government to the multi-stakeholder community is now done after the rejection by the court of an emergency request to block the transition sought by 4 Republican state (of the USA) attorneys general, who argued it would be unconstitutional and could violate free speech.  

ICANN is entring a new era with new bylaws and new rules of governance. These changes must not affect the stability, security and resiliency of the Internet.
