Thank you for the response. It was an interesting dilemma but you have answered my question. In other words the new name is an alias (operating name). The mother organization remains the same. I think there is no need for a new registration in that case.

During the last AGM meeting of ISOC ZA the need was expressed for certain members to only focus on local Internet Policy needs and regulations.
The requirements from ISOC Global however, while not many, however detract from the time that these members would like to spend on these needs.

The decision was made to split ISOC ZA into two entities: ISOC ZA would focus on Local initiatives and keep their name as it is recognised in Parliament, and Internet South Africa, which would steer the mission of ISOC Global and the continent.
It is important to note that the split is more a devision of labour and focus so that the needs of everyone can be met.

If this means that you would like to treat Internet South Africa as a new ALS, that is OK, but I wouldn't see why as nothing has really changed aside from our name.
