AFRALO Session Accepted at FIFAfrica25
*Dear AFRALO Community,* I am delighted to inform you that I submitted a session proposal on behalf of AFRALO to the *Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2025 (FIFAfrica25)*, and it was been accepted. I will be delivering a *lightning talk* titled: *“Internet in Every Language**: The Role of Universal Acceptance in Decolonizing the Web.”* This session will explore how Universal Acceptance can challenge digital linguistic imperialism, promote African languages online, and strengthen freedom of expression and digital democracy. Importantly, this opportunity also contributes to *AFRALO’s capacity building* by positioning our community at the center of conversations on multilingualism and digital inclusion in Africa. It allows us to showcase AFRALO’s role in advancing Universal Acceptance while strengthening our ability to engage with diverse stakeholders on digital rights and policy. I look forward to representing AFRALO at FIFAfrica25 and will share key highlights and outcomes with the community afterward. I also welcome any suggestions you may have to enrich this intervention. *Dear AFRALO Community,*
I am delighted to inform you that I submitted a session proposal on behalf of AFRALO to the *Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2025 (FIFAfrica25)*, and it was been accepted. I will be delivering a *lightning talk* titled:
*“Internet in Every Language**: The Role of Universal Acceptance in Decolonizing the Web.”*
This session will explore how Universal Acceptance can challenge digital linguistic imperialism, promote African languages online, and strengthen freedom of expression and digital democracy.
