Dear Colleagues, This is probably one of the most challenging year for us all, due to the impact of covid-19, some of us may have lost our jobs, while others may have lost loved ones, we've all be impacted one way or the other. However without prejudice to the departed, it's good that we made it thus. I was reflecting on this year and came to the conclusion that it's the best year for the internet; lots more innovative use of the internet has emerged and while this is good news for internet growth, it also imply a call to more work and by extension to us as the home of internet end users within ICANN. The second/third wave of the pandemic and the emergence of various strains of the virus brings me to encourage us all that we keep faith steadfast hoping that current emerging technologies will be able to catch-up by God's grace. The good thing is that we now have an idea of what 2021 will look like unlike 2020 which caught the world by surprise. Our final newsletter for the year will be published sometime in January 2021 and I highlighted what our 2021 activities will look like, as we shall be putting more efforts towards implementation of our fy21 outreach and engagement strategy. I urge us to continue to stay safe and put our health and that of our loved ones first during this holiday, and for those that celebrate Christmas/New year let us try to ensure to observe all necessary preventive measures and I trust that we will come out of this stronger. On behalf of the AFRALO leadership, here is to wish us all happy holiday and look forward to welcoming one another to a new year! Merry Christmas to our colleagues that celebrate that as well. Dear Chair, Thank you so much for the wonderful message. For sure, the year 2020 was such a challenging year. We have lost our colleagues and relatives due to COVID-19. It is our prayer that, the protection of almighty God be with each one of us as we are approaching the year 2021. Let us hope we will make it there and be ready to face it.
