Over the past year and a half, I have had the privilege to work and collaborate with many of you, including members of AFRALO I had not previously engaged with. Together we have started several significant initiatives, AFRALO Advisory Group, Newcomers Capacity Building Working Group, AFRALO CIP and continuing AFRALO Rules of Procedure( RoP). We have successfully organised our AFRALO’s first regional UA Day, with the second currently underway, showcasing the commitment of the entire AFRALO community to digital inclusion. These accomplishments reflect our collective commitment to strengthening AFRALO’s role within Africa and the ICANN community. As my term concludes at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, I look forward to the opportunity to continue in the role of AFRALO Chair for a final two-year term, building on the progress we have made, striving to surpass it and learning from all previous AFRALO leaders.
