Welcome to the ICANN74 Policy Forum, ICANN’s first hybrid Public Meeting since 2020. After more than two years of virtual meetings, we are excited to be returning
to a hybrid meeting format and for the chance to meet in person with members of the ICANN Community.
We are committed to ensuring an inclusive Policy Forum that provides equal opportunities for all to engage on important policy matters. Therefore, ICANN74 will accommodate
both in-person and virtual participation.

ICANN74 In-Person Participation Tips
|
Joining Sessions Via Zoom
·
You are encouraged to join sessions via Zoom whenever possible so that you can access the chat and other features.
·
·
You may also use the
Raise Hand feature in Zoom to join the speaking queue. This will help ensure an equitable meeting experience for in-person and virtual participants.
·
·
If you did not bring a device to the session or don’t wish to use Zoom, ICANN Participation Managers will ensure you have the opportunity to speak.
Using Interpretation Services
·
Language interpretation is provided in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish. You are encouraged to use the black interpretation receivers
provided in the room to listen to the language of your choice.
·
·
When attending sessions with interpretation, you should disconnect your audio in Zoom by clicking the up arrow next to the microphone icon and selecting
Leave Computer Audio.
·
·
If you prefer to listen to interpretation via Zoom, make sure to connect your headphones to your device to avoid creating feedback or other audio issues
during the session.

Requesting Your Feedback on ICANN74
|
By Sally Costerton, SVP, Global Stakeholder Engagement
ICANN74 is our first hybrid Public Meeting in more than two years, and much has changed since our last meeting with in-person and remote participation.
This meeting is not merely a return to the face-to-face meetings of the past; it is an experiment that will take us into the future. We have upgraded our services
to encourage equal participation for remote and in-person attendees, and the in-person experience has evolved to better embrace inclusivity for all participants.
To continue to advance and evolve the Public Meeting experience, we’d like to hear from you. Tell us what you think has worked well, and what needs to change.
Please email us at
icann74feedback@icann.org.
Thank you in advance; your feedback will help us continue to improve our Public Meetings going forward.

SubPro ODP Update: The Operational Readiness Work Track
|
|
|
By Karen Lentz, VP, Policy Research
Over the last six months, I've shared information about the
nine
work tracks [r20.rs6.net] that are supporting the New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Subsequent Procedures (SubPro) Operational Design Phase (ODP) to explain how
the work is being organized.
My
latest
update [r20.rs6.net] highlighted Work Track 3: Operational Readiness. This track focuses on capacity planning, which is important because it helps determine the
estimated time frames, staff, and budget required to cover operational preparation for future gTLD application rounds.

in learning more about this process are invited to intend.

|
DNSSEC and Security Workshop
|
This session is a public presentation and discussion with those actively engaged in the deployment of the Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC). Registries,
registrars, Internet Service Providers, and others who plan to deploy DNSSEC services will benefit from the presentation and discussion of the deployment experience.
|
|
At-Large Policy: An End User's Perspective on the Role of At-Large in DNS Abuse
|
The session will focus on the role of the At-Large community in mitigating Domain Name System (DNS) abuse. It will also explore the At-Large role as an advocate for
end users in reducing DNS abuse that results from maliciously registered domain names and compromised websites. This session will serve as a follow-up discussion for the At-Large community, building on the ICANN73 plenary
session
[r20.rs6.net] on DNS abuse.
