· Transportation: If you need to travel by car, it’s best to use a car service or authorized taxi. There are taxi stands outside the hotels and restaurants in the Hotel Zone, but it may be difficult to hail a taxi in the street. The taxis do not use meters, so confirm the fare before departing. You must pay for taxis with cash.

· Value-Added Tax: If you are visiting from abroad, you can waive the 16 percent value-added tax on purchases by showing your passport. Be sure to get a passport stamp at the airport immigration checkpoint upon arrival.

· Smoking: As of January 2023, smoking is banned in all public places in Mexico, including sidewalks and beaches.

· Cash withdrawal: ATM (cash machine) in the conference center.
