Alan Greenberg, Chair of the ALAC, has asked that a vote be held by the ALAC on the proposed ratification of the ALAC Liaison to the CSC.

Motion:

Whereas a Customer Standing Committee (CSC) will be formed to oversee the IANA names functions in the event the NTIA approves of the IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal and the IANA Functions Contract expires;

Whereas the ALAC may choose to identify a Liaison to the CSC and has been requested to do so by 22 July 2016;

Whereas the ALAC solicited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from the At-Large Community, the ALAC Appointee Selection Committee has reviewed these EoIs and has recommended that the ALAC confirm Mohamed El Bashir as its Liaison to the CSC;

Therefore:

The ALAC confirms that Mohamed El Bashir be named as its first Liaison to the CSC for a period of two years beginning when and if the CSC is formally convened.
