Register to Attend ICANN74 In Person by 8 June

Advance registration [r20.rs6.net] is required to access the schedule and participate in the hybrid Policy Forum taking place 13–16 June. Attendees must confirm their intent to participate virtually or in person in The Hague. The deadline to register for in-person participation is Wednesday, 8 June, at 23:59 UTC.

ICANN is committed to providing as safe a space as possible for in-person attendees and is implementing health and safety practices. There are no limitations for virtual attendees. However, on-site meeting rooms have limited capacity due to physical distancing, and attendees are required to reserve seats for sessions they plan to attend in person.

To attend in-person sessions, add the sessions to your calendar on the meeting website. Waitlists will be available when room capacities have been reached. More information about ICANN74 session registration can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions [r20.rs6.net].

An Update on the Technical Preparations for ICANN74

By Ashwin Rangan

SVP, Engineering and Chief Information Officer

As we approach our first hybrid meeting in more than two years, I want to provide you with an update about our technical preparations for ICANN74 in The Hague. While we are excited to offer community members the opportunity for in-person participation, we are equally thrilled to continue implementing the valuable lessons learned during our virtual meetings.

The technology we employ won't change with the return to a hybrid meeting format. What will need to evolve, however, is the way we use these platforms. Zoom will play a critical role in bridging the gap between those on site and those who participate virtually. All attendees, regardless of their physical location, should join via Zoom, to access the speaking queue and take advantage of the chat features.

We look forward to blending the knowledge gained through the virtual meetings with the option of in-person participation to make ICANN74 more inclusive and equitable for all who attend.
