During its meeting on March 24th, the At-Large Advisory Committee decided that each of the five working group statements should become not just a Summit output, but also an Advisory of the ALAC to the Board of ICANN. (see http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/pipermail/alac-announce_atlarge-lists.icann.o rg/2009q1/000172.html) As per the decision of ALAC at it's 24th March teleconference, the Summit Statements will be open for comments from the wider At-Large community to ensure that everyone can express his or her opinion on these issues. Also, this will ensure that our French and Spanish-speaking members who might not have been able to participate in their preferred Summit Working Group due to language barriers will get an opportunity to submit their comments on all five Statements. Please use the ³comment² button on the the Wiki pages linked below to submit your comment on the Statement. Where a comment period is for less than 30 days, this is due to the fact that an ICANN-wide public comment period is underway; the shorter period will allow your comments to be considered in a final revision of the statement and then allow the ALAC to vote on the result in good time to ensure that the statement is sent not just to the Board, but also to the public comment period.
