Board Resolves Upon 15-Day Deadline for Documents, Agendas in Advance of ICANN Meetings
Dear Community: At its meeting yesterday, the Board resolved to introduce a 15-working-day deadline for ICANN meetings. For Seoul, hat deadline date is Friday 2 October. The definition of what is required for agendas is as follows: "An overview of all public sessions taking place within the conference venue, both in the days before the official opening ceremony and after the final Board meeting. That overview must include, at a minimum: a breakdown of topics to be discussed, with an estimated time for discussion of each; a list of speakers/panellists split up according to relevant subject; an explanation of the session’s goals and expected outcomes; and hyperlinks to all relevant documentation." This means that At-Large-related meeting details will need to be received by the staff on 1st October in order for us to post it in advance of the deadlines. With respect to documents, you'll recall that documents were available 10 days early for the Sydney meeting, so this is an extension of time for an additional five days. In addition, the Board has directed the staff to ensure documents have easy to read Executive Summaries, and other features. There will be a public comment period on these matters opened shortly.
