From: At-Large Staff To: Secretary of the Board Cc: Denise Michel; At-Large Announcements; ICANN At-Large Staff Subject: ALAC Statement on the IIC - The Way Forward Proposals Dear Diane, The At-Large Staff has the honour to transmit to you the ALAC Statement on the IIC - The Way Forward Proposals on behalf of the At-Large Advisory Committee. The original version of this document was composed by Sébastien Bachollet, Chair of the At-Large working group on the Future Structure and Governance of ICANN and made available for comments from the wider At-Large Community on 16 July 2009. Sébastien incorporated the comments received on the draft document and submitted a first revision to the At-Large Advisory Committee for adoption on 18 September 2009. The Staff started an online vote on the first revision on 23 October 2009, which was stopped on 25 October by decision of the ALAC. The Committee decided to stop the vote to allow for further discussion on the document. Following discussions held during the 25 October ALAC meeting in Seoul, Sébastien incorporated comments made on the first revision of the document and submitted a second revision to the ALAC, which the ALAC adopted with a 10-0-0 vote during its final Seoul session on 29 October. As this is a formal Statement of an Advisory Committee to the Board, we provide it by copy hereby to the Secretary of ICANN for distribution to the Board with our compliments.
