Dear Chairs of the Technical Issues Working Group, We would like to draw your attention to the 29 November 2009 deadline for the public consultation on the report from the Dutch Organisation for Applied Scientific Research ( Nederlandse Organisatie voor toegepast-natuurwetenschappelijk onderzoek (TNO)) entitled “"Root Scaling Study: Description of the DNS Root Scaling Model” . You can find further information on this public consultation and the TNO report under http://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/#tno-report The full At-Large Policy Advice Schedule is available under: http://www.atlarge.icann.org/policycalendar Explanation/Background: ICANN has published a report prepared by TNO entitled "Root Scaling Study: Description of the DNS Root Scaling Model <http://www.icann.org/en/committees/dns-root/root-scaling-model-description-2...> " [PDF, 677K]. TNO (Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) is an independent research organization based in Delft, Netherlands (http://www.tno.nl). This report is an additional product of the root scaling study led by Lyman Chapin of Interisle Consulting, and complements the "Scaling the Root" report <http://www.icann.org/en/committees/dns-root/root-scaling-study-report-31aug0...> [PDF, 1,340K] published on 18 September 2009. The Root Scaling Steering Group is evaluating these reports and plans to provide an evaluation and recommendations for the Board and the public. -- Regards, Nick Ashton-Hart, Heidi Ullrich, Matthias Langenegger, Gisella Gruber-White ICANN At-Large Staff email: staff at atlarge.icann.org
