Introductory briefing on IANA: 29 September 1300 UTC
Dear all, We would like to invite you to an introductory briefing on the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA), presented by Kim Davies, Manager of Root Zone Services. The teleconference is scheduled next Monday, 29 September at 1300 UTC and will take approximately 60 minutes. What will this briefing session cover? It will be a basic introduction to IANA and the functions which IANA is responsible for, such as the delegation and re-delegation processes for country code and other top level domains. Other topics will include an overview of some of the current and future work of IANA such as the internationalization of the DNS root zone. Kim will also be able to outline IANA¹s relationship with the US Department of Commerce. How may I participate? Please see: https://st.icann.org/alac/index.cgi?iana_introduction for complete details. Recordings of the briefing in English, Spanish, and French will be available after the meeting for those unable to attend the briefing.
