HI All
This is an interesting discussion  vis a vis our  priority groups

1 How does our  travel strategies abide to the  ITEMS report?
2. How does  our  ALAC members get involved since they don't attend our calls or provide feedback but they tend to organize the outreach without consultation to this group?
3 Do we have any standard to meet ie metrics, recruitment etc?

Subject: Re: [Alac-sc-outreach] Developing Draft RALO Outreach Strategic Plans for FY18

This is a great initiative proposed by Vanda and the LAC region for DNS WOMEN in developing economies.  I totally support any means that can assist getting the LAC trial operational and later, transferring any lessons learned from the programme to engage more women in other under-served regions with an educational opportunity that will not only encourage more learning about the DNS but also provide the potential for their self-employment using this knowledge in the future.

Dear Friends,
Just to let you know,  I will seek approval for regional DNS WOMEN program for 2017/2018 program in LAC region. The project itself is done, we are starting translating docuemnts and reorganize our website to allow e-learning easy platform. We will present it during DNS WOMEN in Johannesburg , but need to start as planned in LAC region and seek for other supporters to Africa region and south pacific/south Asia region.

    Dear All.

With the Community Regional Outreach Pilot Program (CROPP) for FY17
ending on June 30 2017 (and confirmation that the the Community
Regional Outreach Program (CROP) will continue in FY18), one of the
key deliverables for CROP FY18 before any CROPP proposals can be
considered for FY18 is the submission of a updated Outreach Strategic
    Plan for each RALO.

Each RALO's Outreach Strategic Plan should explain its FY18 outreach
goals and planned expectations so that any selected CROPP activities
can be coordinated with the appropriate ICANN Global Stakeholder
    Engagement teams.

These proposals must also be approved by the regional GSEs.

This is an opportunity to review the CROPP FY17 At-Large RALOs
Outreach Plans  and CROPP FY16 At-Large RALOs Outreach Plans, review
their outcomes and refine or develop new goals for FY18

Given that the CROP wiki has yet to be built out, the At-Large
Outreach and Engagement SC will use
https://community.icann.org/x/rBjwAw to draft their Outreach Plans for
    FY18.

RALOs that are considering CROP proposals to begin in July or August
2017 should consider their outreach plans NOW and seek approvals from
GSE before the end of CROPP FY17. It is anticipated that the same
conditions would apply for CROP FY18, namely that ICANN requires 6
weeks minimum for receiving APPROVED CROP proposals before the event
takes place. This means for At-Large and GSE to have time to review
and approve CROP proposals, we should strive to have proposals
submitted for review at least 7 weeks before such proposed travel
    takes place.

    Kind Regards,

    Dev Anand
