Hi Dev, One suggestion is that regions are reorganised into sub-regions and let the sub-regions feed into the regions in some transparent way. The fear is that you are asking civil society to participate but these efforts may not reach ICANN if there is a possibility of censorship by whomever is chair of the region or get lost for several reasons such as translation. There need to be a clear strategy for review or consideration of inputs, given that sub-regions, especially where there are existing SIDS, will have special issues which will not be addressed if the dominant sub-regions side-line minority issues. What then would be the point of the exercise? I do not think the draft is detailed enough. It does not deal with civil society representation within ICANN, because comments are one thing, representation is another.
