Developing RALO Outreach Strategic Plans for FY17
Dear All, With the CROPP FY16 ending on June 30 2016 (and confirmation hopefully coming soon from the ICANN Board on whether CROPP will be continuing in FY17), one of the key deliverables for CROPP FY17 before any CROPP proposals can be considered for FY17 is the submission of a updated Outreach Strategic Plan for each RALO. Each RALO's Outreach Strategic Plan should explain its FY17 outreach goals and planned expectations so that any selected CROPP activities can be coordinated with the appropriate ICANN Global Stakeholder Engagement teams. These proposals must also be approved by the regional GSEs. If any RALO wants to apply for CROPP in mid July 2016, its important to have approved plans in place by June 30 before proposals can be filed in time for mid July. This is an opportunity to review the RALO Outreach Strategic Plans for FY16 (see https://community.icann.org/display/croppfy16/At-Large+RALOs), review the outcomes and refine or develop new goals for FY17. The wiki pages where FY17 drafts can be created can be found at the https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Draft+RALO+Outreach+Strategic+Pl... page. Kind Regards, Dev Anand Teelucksingh
Hi Dev We completed the NARALO Strategic Plan for CROPP and we have sent it to the GSE for review and approval. We need to stress that the IGF USA is scheduled for July 13 or 14th and the two ALS members have applied for attendance. We need to stress that these applications are getting tight for time for approval Thanks Glenn Glenn McKnight mcknight.glenn@gmail.com skype gmcknight twitter gmcknight . Hello Dev and Glenn, that's a good point below: (quote Glenn) "... that the IGF USA is scheduled for July 13 or 14th". In Europe we meanwhile have over 25 national IGF's, all conducted in national languages (except Swiss IGF in three incl. English). Therefore, and as mentioned before, national IGFs are not really an alternative for EURALO's outreach and strategy (except by members *in* the country). We rather need to concentrate on European events which are conducted in English -- what is EURALO's working language (besides the fact that it's no ones' mother tongue). As we are extremely busy ATM with preparing the Swiss IGF (24 May) and EuroDIG (9-10 June), we cannot update EURALO's strategy before end of June. Thanks for your understanding and kind regards, Wolf Glenn McKnight wrote Thu, 12 May 2016 16:24:
