In our pre-ICANN discussion with ICANN's President and CEO, Göran Marby, Maureen and I raised the issue of ATLAS III and the need to both begin our detailed planning and for a commitment from ICANN to allow the Meetings Team to make commitments for both meeting and hotel space.

As some of you may have seen, he replied earlier this week. His letter is attached here and is posted to the ICANN Correspondence page ( https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/correspondence).

His reply was very supportive.

I have now responded to his letter and a copy is attached.

Our challenge is to now to organize and run a fantastic ATLAS that will meet the expectations we have set and for which we have received such a strong vote of confidence.
