The GAC, meeting at ICANN62 in Panama, has today appointed a Liaison to the ALAC. My counterpart will be Ana Cristina Neves, the GAC Representative from Portugal.

This appointment, in my view, reflects the appreciation by the GAC of cooperation with the ALAC ,  and will no doubt greatly improve the preparation and follow-up of our joint meetings.
