Hi all,
As the US moves to act on net neutrality, and ICANN ponders next generation name services, I offer the following presentation slide deck for some badly needed thought-provocation. Presented by Geoff Huston, Chief Scientist at APNIC.
Perhaps if possible he could expand on these issues for ALAC at an ICANN meeting or online webinar. The issues he raise are pertinent to both ICANN's global remit and the Internet at-large, and offer an interesting take on the evolution and large-scale power concentration now going on.
(Hint: It is not the last-mile ISPs that are the wielders of this power, according to Huston's analysis.)
While this is a PDF of a slide deck, I think most will find its content and logical flow to be clearly expressed and even mildly entertaining. Highly recommended IMO.
