CLOSES FRIDAY: Call for Expressions of Interest: Chair of the EPDP on IDNs

The Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council announced that it is seeking Expressions of Interest for a chair of the Expedited Policy Development Process (EPDP) team that will address issues related to Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs). Candidates interested in serving in this role should review the Expression of Interest document before submission. The document details the role, required skills and experience, and the selection process.

The deadline to submit an Expression of Interest is Friday, 25 June 2021 at 23:59 UTC. All submissions should be sent to gnso-secs@icann.org.

NEW: Request for Information on Identity Verification Methods for SSAD Now Open

ICANN announced that it has now opened the Request for Information (RFI) to better understand what may be commercially available in the marketplace to deliver some or all of the System for Standardized Access/Disclosure to Non-Public Registration Data (SSAD), including existing methods for identity verification. The RFI overview document can be viewed here.

Indications of interest are to be submitted by emailing SSAD-ODP-RFI@icann.org with the following information, upon which access will be provided to the RFI:

Name of the organization
Name of the contact
Email address of the contact

The RFI will be open until Monday, 19 July 2021 (23:59 UTC). Read more.

On Monday, 21 June 2021, the GAC issued its ICANN71 GAC Communiqué. It is available for review here. Previous GAC advice and past communiqués are available at https://gac.icann.org.
