Dear All, 

Based on feedback from the GNSO and direction from the Board Variant Working Group, ICANN is formulating a seven-member working group to review and update the IDN Implementation Guidelines. Historically, this has been done by GNSO and ccNSO community members. This time, 1 ALAC representative and 1 SSAC representative will be added to the working group, to have additional focus on usability issues and Security, Stability and Resiliency (SSR) respectively. 

The official call for community experts announcement will go public on Thursday. The ALAC is expected to select and endorse one representative for this Working Group. This is a heads-up and we will forward the announcement to At-Large mailing lists as soon as it is public.
