Dear Community Members:Carlos Dionisio Aguirre and Jose Ovidio Salgueiro have nominated me to the position of Chair, ALAC. I freely confess I am humbled by this demonstration of their confidence in my abilities and am very alert to the signal they are sending with this nomination. But I must respectfully decline their nomination. I personally support the continuation of Cheryl Langdon-Orr as Chair and as a member new to the internal dynamics of the ALAC, pledge myself to work collaboratively with all of my colleagues in advancing the At-Large agenda. I have accepted the role of Rapporteur principally because I take Alan's view of the role as operative; to serve as a facilitator and bridge between the different perspectives of the At-Large agenda towards a single vision.
