TECH DAY Tech Day will be held as a second, virtual technical workshop at ICANN69 on Monday, 19 October 2020. The Tech Working Group seeks presenters. Proposals should preferably focus on one of the following topics: 1. DNSSEC, in particular within the European Region and with regards to SHA-1 Transition 2. RDAP implementations 3. Best security management practices, lines of defence, to protect the registry from bad actors, attacks or malware In addition, Tech WG welcomes suggestions for additional topics. Those interested in presenting should contact ccNSO-techday@icann.org About Tech Day Tech Day has been a part of ICANN meetings since 2006 and has provided a forum for both experienced and new people to meet, present and discuss technical topics related to registry and DNS work and security. ccTLD NEWS SESSION Reminder: Apply now for a speaking slot The ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee (MPC) will organise for the second time a set of Virtual ccTLD News Sessions. The MPC seeks presentation proposals from the ccTLD community, focusing preferably on one of the following 2 topics: 1. Policy updates by ccTLD registries during the COVID-19 pandemic 2. Q&A with the ccNSO Council Candidates Tuesday, 13 October 2020 (12:00-13:30 UTC) This Q&A session will provide the ccNSO members and broader ccTLD community an opportunity to interact with the candidates for the ccNSO Council. Q&A with the ICANN Board Seat 12 candidates Thursday, 15 October 2020 (12:00-13:30 UTC) This Q&A session will provide the ccNSO members and broader ccTLD community an opportunity to interact with the candidates for the position of ICANN Board seat 12. The candidates are Nigel Roberts and Katrina Sataki. An election will be held – starting in November 2020, after completion of the due diligence verifications – according to the timeline previously agreed upon by the ccNSO Council. Q&A with the ccTLD-related ICANN Board members Tuesday, 20 October 2020 (14:30-15:30 UTC) The ICANN Board of Directors consists of sixteen voting directors, including two directors nominated by the ccNSO. Currently these two Board members are Chris Disspain and Nigel Roberts. Chris’s term ends at the end of ICANN69. Patricio Poblete will replace Chris.
