For what it is worth, it would seem to me that providing an opportunity for community members to learn more about these issues would not be a disadvantage. Of course, if everyone feels they are sufficiently well-informed then it the briefings would be unnecessary. With respect to the information below being of use to the briefings, it normally requires about 2-3 weeks advance notice to arrange a briefing, to allow those presenting time to prepare and also to give the community enough advance warning to incorporate the briefings into their schedules. It would seem to be likely that the consultation summary etc would therefore already be posted before the briefings would take place.
