Holly yes there is a lot to be done and Matt, Silvia, Pavan and others (me included) have some "to do's" on our list... And we do need to do 2 (at least) focussed essential "things" 1 catch up find and if needs be replicate "history" somehow "lost / overwritten" (this is one of my main peeves and projects with Matt, Silvia, Pavan et.al.) and 2 set up time fresh templates and records / archives standards for future build... As I believe you were proposing.... However we are also soon to be subject to an ALAC-- RALO-- At-Large web pages review and rebuild... So we need to be cognisent of that.. My view is APOLLO could be one of the beta projects for that with ALAC... (look to the new(ish) GNSO site to see the kind of thing proposed... Hi Everyone
I not sure about the rest of you, but IMHO, the some of the material on the APRALO homepage needs updating - badly (NO Matt, that's not ICANN's fault, it is our fault) (don't feel badly, we aren't the only RALO with out of date stuff!)
Our page and the links from it should be a place where we can put current stuff - reports on what is happening in our region, newsletters, etc. I'm not sure where the stuff would fit, but, for ALAC, I do a monthly newsletter - that should also be available to us. There should also be a place where we can post upcoming events in our countries (for a start, what about posting the Seoul IGF!) It should also be a place where we can put reports from our regions. Maureen's report on PacINET is an excellent example. Sala's capacity building is another. The AurIGF is another.
Do are there any volunteers? Could someone (Edmon, Pavan or anyone else) have a look and see if we can come up with space for our material - for our news. And if you are really ambitious, go through our website to suggest removing stuff (or archiving it) that is out of date.
Thanks
Holly
