Dear
All,
The Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) will be held this year as an in-person program in South Korea from 16 to 20 August 2022. Applications
are open till Sunday 5 June 2022 14:59 UTC (or 23:59 Korea
Standard Time/UTC+9). We’d like to invite those interested to apply, and appreciate
help to share this with your networks too.
APIGA is a capacity-development program targeted at APAC youth aged 18-35 who are interested in Internet Governance (IG)
issues. Flight and accommodation costs will be covered for participants who are selected. All participants and staff will be required to follow COVID-19 health and safety rules.
Through APIGA, participants will build a solid foundation in IG fundamentals. This includes guided pathways to continue
participating in the IG space such as at ICANN, APNIC, the IETF, ISOC, and various other IG forums. Participants will also build strong networks with peers and community leaders from the region. APIGA is co-hosted by ICANN
and the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA).
More details, including full eligibility criteria and how to apply, are on the APIGA2022 wiki
page and in ICANN’s announcement.
Thank you.
