Dear Amrita and Gisella, I am sorry that I will have to send my apology to this meeting because of a conflict I can't avoid. 

But if possible, I would like to ask you to help deliver a message at the meeting for ICANN Nomcom. We are expediting and pushing the application period earlier than last year for this year. The application period will be 18 December 2025 at 00:00 UTC and close on 18 February 2026 at 23:59 UTC. In other words, it will open a month from now. The positions this year will include: 

- ICANN Board (two positions for three-year terms)
- Public Technical Identifiers Board (one position for a three-year term)
-  At-Large Advisory Committee (two positions for two-year terms) -- For North America and Europe
- Country Code Names Supporting Organization Council (one position for a three-year term)
- Generic Names Supporting Organization Council (one position for a two-year term)

Because of the compressed time this year in order for more time for Nomcom to do the evaluation, we have less time to outreach to the communities, and unlike last year, when we could outreach at the Seattle meeting, by the time we meet in Mumbai the application period will be closed. So I would like to ask the AP community to take note of it early, and for anyone considering applying for these positions to start preparing for the application period to begin in about a month's time.
