APAC-Discuss is an open list (as are most At-Large mailing lists...pls check here: https://atlarge.icann.org/get-involved/mailing-lists).

In practice, anyone interested in APRALO activities is granted subscription based on their request, on the assumption that they'd eventually join the APRALO community in some form (ie., as an ALS or individual member). As far as I know, we do not unsubscribe people (unless based on their own request).

The question on whether we should allow 'guests' on the list indefinitely has not come up so far, and we are not likely to restrict access.

I’d make a slight change to the following sentence: Current or prior experience in representing the interests of Internet consumers or end-users, if applicable please include reference to any social media, blogs, web pages you may have or run - change to …. Internet consumers or end users.  If applicable, please (I realise that’s just a small change, but makes it clearer  that we want a statement about the prior or current experience.

Second comment - the list of topics is huge.  I’d shorten it to have more generic topics

On behalf of APRALO’s Chair Satish Babu, please be so kind to review the form to become an Unaffiliated APRALO member, posted on the following wiki page and also attached  to this email for your convenience.
 
 
Once approved, this form will be posted on the APRALO website, applicants will need to download the form, fill it in and send it to At-Large staff by email. The requests to become individual members of APRALO will continue to be handled by staff as per the current APRALO rules.
