Further to this announcement I wanted to give my congratulations to both the APRALO nominees as you can see it was a close contest between two excellent and well qualified candidates... I also thought this list might be interested in a particular point re ALAC discussions around all the nominees presented to us to vote upon (remembering that Africa only put forward one name and that candidate was endorsed for that region) AP was the only region that did NOT recommend a preference or order of voting for the nominees presented to the ALAC... Izumi and I left your Bio material and any other research ALAC Members might have done on you speak for itself, as we viewed you both as equally qualified and suitable nominees... Nirmol I trust you will still put yourself forward for other positions as they become available... Karaitiana does this mean you will be joining us in LA or does the NomCom meet at the next ICANN Meeting? If you are attending LA then please remember to join in as many ALAC meetings and of course the APRALO one we will be having, wont you... FYI, newly appointed NomCom members will indeed be asked to attend Nomcom meetings and orientation sessions in LA - and we do hope you'll come to the At-Large meetings too :) On 28 Sep 2007, at 09:17, Cheryl Langdon-Orr wrote:
