Dear colleagues,
I'm also ready to make some contribution as a volunteer for the WG to review the current APRALO ROPs.
Regards,
Lianna Galstyan
Dear colleagues, First of all, congratulations with the starting of the new education year, I hope this year will bring more development and more inclusive communication among ourselves for the prosperity of At Large community. Secondly, there are several action items, discussed during our last call, which I would like all of you participate actively and bring your contribution. Those who participated in our monthly call on August 27 may already know about this, but I would like to make sure that all ALSs are aware. 1. APRALO Rules of Procedure: APRALO has an intention to form a Working Group (WG) to review current APRALO Rules of Procedure (ROPs) see: https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/RALO+Organising+Documents so they are in line with the revised ALAC Rules of Procedure; see https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Rules+of+Procedure. We have asked for volunteers for this WG and Cheryl Langdon-Orr already volunteered to be a member of this group. We are asking for more volunteers to work in this group to revise the ROPs and come up with suggestions. Please, those who would like to volunteer, send your names via our mailing list. As soon as several people will volunteer to form this group, the WIKI page as child page of the RALO Organising Documents, entitled "APRALO Rules of Procedures Review 2013" which has been created by the staff for the intention for all of you to visit and post your comments, even if you are not a member of this group and several calls will be organized for this purposes. 2. Updating APRALO ALSs information in Wiki see: https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/APRALO+ALSes; - This relates to ALL ALSs: please, visit this wiki page and update or post the information about your ALSs there. We need all updated information. Please, post your organization's logo and the brief information there. If you have technical issues to do that, please, ask the staff for the support and send the information via staff@atlarge.icann.org<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org> 3. Participation in APRALO monthly calls. As you all know we have monthly conference calls and the information about our calls is being posted and reminders are being sent constantly via APRALO mailing list. We urge you all to participate actively in those monthly calls. A Working Group is developing a matrix to measure everyone's participation. It will be one of the tools we will be using when deciding who will be part of the At large Summit II (ATLAS II), which will take place in London, June, 2014. We are hoping you will be there, so we'd like to hear you all for our monthly meetings. 4. APRALO ALSs Spotlights - https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/APRALO+ALSes+SpotlightAs you all are aware and this suggestion was proposed by many of you during our meeting in Beijing, from now on we will be having one ALS per call to present their ALS. This is a new initiative intended to showcase one APRALO ALS per month. The monthly APRALO Spotlight ALS will be asked to introduce their ALS during the APRALO monthly call. In addition information and activities of the featured ALS will be posted in this Workspace. We encourage you to volunteer for the coming months for this initiative and send in advance the information to the staff to post in Wiki space. During August call Satish Babu presented his ALS, Computer Society of India (CSI). We intend to post one week in advance to our calls the name of the ALS, which will be presented, for everyone to prepare the questions and comments to the presenter, to make this initiative more interactive and not just a presentation. Enjoy you day and thank you once again for your active participation. Best, Siranush VardanyanAPRALO Vice ChairArmenia

We have asked for volunteers for this WG and Cheryl Langdon-Orr already volunteered to be a member of this group. We are asking for more volunteers to work in this group to revise the ROPs and come up with suggestions. Please, those who would like to volunteer, send your names via our mailing list. Updating APRALO ALSs information in Wiki see: https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/APRALO+ALSes;

Dear Cheryl, I'll be very glad to see you as a Chair for this WG with your experience, unlike me - with no experience but a readiness and wish to make some contribution. Lianna
If all agree Holly and APRALO Leadership team, I am happy to act as interim Chair for this WG based on my other (dare I say extensive) experience in the field of ROP's ;-)

I'm delighted with our new Members joining I must say... and of course more are welcome... As we set out on our initial meeting(s) Noting the doodle will be sent out soon to all of us who volunteered, to aid us in the best selection of time and date for us to teleconference... Actually I would like to propose that we will use an Adobe Connect room as well as phone bridge for our meetings and I will request that the AC room is set up to allow audio connection as well to aid any of us who want to use that method, that way we can share documentation or screens etc.,) We can discuss other collaboration in more detail when we gather... I wonder however if we night approach this WG in a "open design' as we do in some ALAC and several GNSO Work Groups... That is we will focus on ensuring all our work is captured (if not created from time to time) in the wiki spaces we have access to and that therefore any one reading a page can comment and contribute to our work, and also that whilst we will be "the core WG Members" and be responsible for drafting etc., that we also (once we set one up and i suggest we do) have a topic based email list for the WG => we allow any other interested parties (from our region and indeed beyond) to subsribe to our list and be recorded as <observers or preferably 'subscribed to list'> so that our work is as open and transparent and inclusive as possible but perhaps *more importantly* that we can continuously gain input from our community as we progress our work... What do you all think? No need to decide now we will make this a matter for discussion and decision at our first meeting but do take time to consider... Staff can you let me/us know when a WG and initial meeting page is set up for this WG to oporate in and I will put up a simple draft Agenda for our initial gathering... *Cheryl Langdon-Orr ... **(CLO)* http://about.me/cheryl.LangdonOrr On 6 September 2013 06:00, Ali AlMeshal <dralialmeshal@gmail.com> wrote:

Enjoy you day and thank you once again for your active participation. Best, Siranush VardanyanAPRALO Vice ChairArmenia

Dear colleagues,
I'm also ready to make some contribution as a volunteer for the WG to review the current APRALO ROPs.
Regards,
Lianna Galstyan
Dear colleagues, First of all, congratulations with the starting of the new
I hope this year will bring more development and more inclusive communication among ourselves for the prosperity of At Large community. Secondly, there are several action items, discussed during our last call, which I would like all of you participate actively and bring your contribution. Those who participated in our monthly call on August 27 may already know about this, but I would like to make sure that all ALSs are aware. 1. APRALO Rules of Procedure: APRALO has an intention to form a Working Group (WG) to review current APRALO Rules of Procedure (ROPs) see:
https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/RALO+Organising+Documentsso
they are in line with the revised ALAC Rules of Procedure; see https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Rules+of+Procedure. We have asked for volunteers for this WG and Cheryl Langdon-Orr already volunteered to be a member of this group. We are asking for more volunteers to work in this group to revise the ROPs and come up with suggestions. Please, those who would like to volunteer, send your names via our mailing list. As soon as several people will volunteer to form this group, the WIKI page as child page of the RALO Organising Documents, entitled "APRALO Rules of Procedures Review 2013" which has been created by the staff for the intention for all of you to visit and post your comments, even if you are not a member of this group and several calls will be organized for this purposes. 2. Updating APRALO ALSs information in Wiki see: https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/APRALO+ALSes ;
This relates to ALL ALSs: please, visit this wiki page and update or post the information about your ALSs there. We need all updated information. Please, post your organization's logo and the brief information there. If you have technical issues to do that, please, ask the staff for the support and send the information via staff@atlarge.icann.org <mailto: staff@atlarge.icann.org> 3. It will be one of the tools we will be using when deciding who will be part of the At large Summit II (ATLAS II), which will take place in London, June,
education year, - 2014.
We are hoping you will be there, so we'd like to hear you all for our monthly meetings. 4. APRALO ALSs Spotlights -
https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/APRALO+ALSes+SpotlightAsyou
all are aware and this suggestion was proposed by many of you during our meeting in Beijing, from now on we will be having one ALS per call to present their ALS.
