Dear Yesim and all, I am sharing my Statement of Interest and the PDF of SOI is attached herewith for your kind perusal. Dear APRALO Community, I want to start by thanking my nominator and supporter for graciously considering me for the vice chair position of APRALO. It is a privilege to have been given consideration for such an esteemed position. I am honoured to accept the nomination for the position of APRALO vice chair and humbly ask for your electoral support. My responsibilities include being the vice president of membership for the ISOC India Kolkata Chapter and teaching computer science and engineering (cyber security) as an assistant professor. I hold a continuing doctorate in engineering along with three master's degrees in science and technology. The application of AI, especially Deep Learning, to the field of cyber security is the focus of my present research. I am an ICANN fellowship recipient, an ISOC Ambassador to the IGF, IETF, APrIGF, inSIG, and NASIG, and a member of ALAC to another ICANN Subcommittee WG. As an At-Large Ambassador, I was selected and trained at the At-Large III Summit (ATLAS III). My extensive background in a variety of working groups and selection committees at ICANN, ISOC, and numerous other Internet organizations has prepared me to function well in this role. I have served on the selection committees for the IGF Youth Ambassador Program, Early Carrier Fellowship, Mid Carrier Fellowship to Global ISOC, AASC to APRALO, and the Fellowship Committee Coconvener to APrIGF. I've continuously worked to play a crucial part in maintaining openness, responsibility, ethics, and professional values as a member of selection committees for several organizations. As a technologist, scholar, and civil society activist, I possess the skill set to positively impact the multi-stakeholder policy formation process, and I am excited to apply my diverse pursuits. My vision as vice chair of APRALO: If elected, I pledge to * Supporting the Chair in organizing efficient meetings, tracking action items, and maintaining strong coordination with ALAC. * Encouraging participation among ALSes and individual members by means of inter-RALO cooperation, publicly available updates, and shared opportunities. * Improving youth and newcomer engagement by assisting to demystify processes and create an inclusive, welcoming environment. Through the Fellowship or NextGen programs, many individuals join our community, but they often experience a sense of disconnection. * Ensuring prompt, transparent, and unambiguous communication both inside and outside of APRALO. * Explore potential cross-RALO cooperation options that advance our common objectives as well as promote transparency and accountability. Thank you for considering my candidacy. If appointed, I would assure to the community that, in accordance with APRALO Rules of Procedure (RoP) and ICANN bylaws, I would use my knowledge, experience, dedication, understanding, sincerity, and devotion at the fullest extent possible to build a stronger, more inclusive, and more dynamic APRALO community.
