Dear At-Large and all,

IFRT's Initial Report is now up for Public Comment at: https://www.icann.org/public-comments/ifr-initial-report-2020-10-08-en

The Public Comment will end on 02 December 2020.  Everybody is encouraged to review it and submit a comment.

During ICANN69, there will be a public session about the IFRT’s work on Thursday, 22 October 2020 at 07:00 UTC.  Session information: https://community.icann.org/display/ifr/IANA+Naming+Function+Review  If you are able to attend, please register for ICANN69 first. Then click on this session link and in the upper left hand corner, under the session title, you can choose ADD TO CALENDAR.

After the Public Comment period a Comment Report will gather all the comments and group them.  Then the IFRT will review the comments, determine if there are any appropriate edits to the Report, and add a section to the report regarding the comments collected.  There will be no IFRT meetings during October and November, as the Public Comment does not end until 02 Dec.

The Public Comment and ICANN69 Session have been posted on the IFR wiki.

As the representative of At-Large and the AP region at IFRT, if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions or opinions, please do not hesitate to contact me, so that I may present them to IFRT.

Thank you all.

Kaili Kan
