HI Vanda and others,

Thanks so much for telling us this awful news.  Nigel was such a dear friend of mine and had so many great memories over the years with him, including just recently in Seattle.  I am really Saddened by his loss.  May his memories be for a blessing and a comfort to his family.

As his colleague Esther remarked, who had just joined the UK Government.  "it was such an inspiring experience to see him at ICANN. It’s rare to find people so passionate and committed to work and the vision of a free secure internet. He was such a legendary human with the kindest heart."   I am saddened that I will not be able to see him and feel his warmth and have more conversations with him

To all friends – and he had thousands – we a sorry to share Nigel Hickson passed away yesterday,  I am sure he will follow this new path in peace and with all light he had spread around here while with us.

Thanks for the time we had together in so many ICANN events!

I am glad he could join us at DNS WOMEN in Seattle !!

My care to his family and the certainty that we all from ICANN family loved him !
