For those not following closely. Jeff Neuman
posted a blog expressing frustration with ICANN for dragging their feet on the reassignment of dot hiphop, and, when he had filed a formal complaint, rather than expediting, ICANN had slowed to a full stop while they investigated! 10 days later he announced
the complaint had been withdrawn to try and move things along. (Apparently ICANN's choking point had been the knowledge that there ha been a parallel NFT registration of the domain, something one would think be immaterial.) Regardless of the facts, Jeff has argued that the case exposes flaws in ICANN's processes.
