This will be the firs IGF-USA that has not been steered by David Vyorst, who left us late last year. But the show goes on, and there's plenty of grist for the mill. In fact, some of the breakouts have so many participants they'll need a gong to move things along. This year sees an emphasis on digital equity, be it connectivity, privacy, or the right to be informed.



IGF-USA 2018
Today, Friday July 27 2018, the annual USA Internet Governance Forum (IGF-USA) takes place in Washington DC. IGF-USA 2018 includes panels on Future of Work and the New Economy; Balancing Privacy Concerns with Security, Connectivity, and Innovation; Competition; Next Generation Networks and the Internet of Things; Platform Content Moderation and Liability‎‎; Internet Governance; and Balancing the Fight against Fake News against Rights of Free Expression. Keynoters are Assistant Secretary David J. Redl, NTIA, and Commissioner Noah J. Phillips, FTC. The entire event, including breakout tracks, will be webcast live on the Internet Society Livestream Channel.
